About us

TUMint.Energy Research was founded on the initiative of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Technical University of Munich at the Garching research campus at the end of 2019.

As a sub-subsidiary of the Technical University of Munich - one of Europe's leading universities - we connect science and industry in the field of innovative solid-state batteries as an application-oriented research institution.

TUMint-Energy Research GmbH is a non-profit, non-university and interdisciplinary research institution. Within the framework of the Bavarian State Government's high-tech agenda, it is financed primarily by funds from the Free State of Bavaria and, to a limited extent, by third-party funds and contract research.

In cooperation with scientists and chairs at the Technical University of Munich, we combine various fields of physics, electrochemistry, materials science, process engineering and production engineering in an interdisciplinary approach.

With this comprehensive knowledge, we work intensively on the research and development of solid-state battery cells.
